The image of the Trois Freres ‘Sorcerer’ was made around 13,000 BC. Set in a cave in Ariege, France, this image speaks to me of ancient wisdom and deep, primitive connection. Shamanism and animism is the original form of healing and spiritual connectedness. Its roots go as deep as the Great World Tree, its branches reach out ten thousand year into our future. The image of the bearded ‘Sorcerer’ resonates not only for its ancientness and its shamanic quality, but because I, like the ‘Sorcerer’ have a beard. So I donned the name, The Bearded Shaman. I started my journey in 2010 where I received the nine rites of the Munay Ki (see Munay Ki Rites page for details) Since then I have gained technical healing skills on the medicine wheel of the Inca tradition and received advanced training enabling me to work with the mythic, the sacred and the darkest of shadows.
